Office Assistant: You will be responsible for inputting data into our system, updating our management system, quoting, coordinating our marketing efforts, running reports, filing, updating spreadsheets and helping our staff as needed.
Our office hours of operation are Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 5pm with 1 hour for lunch.
The successful candidate will begin on a 90-Day Introductory Period (the same for all team members) where you will be paid training pay of ($8.00 - $10 TBD) per hour with NO benefits, paid sick time or paid vacation. NO previous insurance experience required. We will train and educate the successful candidate on ‘Our Way of Doing Things’.
After successfully completing the 90-Day Introductory Period, you will sit down with our President for a discussion on your overall performance, strengths, weaknesses and areas of improvement moving forward. You will also discuss your pay scale for your permanent position.
Not everyone makes it through out introductory period. If you are not the best of the best, are rude to customers, show up late, leave early, or are absent every other day you will not last in this position. We HATE turnover but we hate losing customers' more due to lack of customer service.
If we are satisfied with your performance, you will become a FULL time team member receiving a salary, benefits and paid time off. Any future pay increases will be based on the VALUE you bring to our business.

You need to be computer savvy and be able to quickly learn under pressure. As a Office Assistant your role will be entering information in our quoting system accurately and efficiently in order to support our Sales staff for new and renewal business. You will also be responsible for inputting data into our system, updating our management system, coordinating our marketing efforts, running reports, filing, updating spreadsheets and helping our staff as needed. Knowledge of all Microsoft applications is a MUST with an intermediate skill level at minimum. We provide hands on training for our quoting systems but the computer knowledge and ability to type 40-50 wpm must be present.
It matters. A lot. You are outgoing and confident and you exude energy and enthusiasm. If you have ever been described as shy, quiet or introverted, this is really NOT the job for you. You enjoy people, you enjoy talking to and helping people and you have a knack for motivating and inspiring them with your positive attitude. You are articulate. You have a good sense of humor and a cooperative attitude. You show kindness, patience and respect for others. You are ethical and honest even when no one is watching. You are punctual. You are able to take constructive criticism and correction without getting defensive or feeling “hurt” and discouraged. You look for solutions NOT excuses. You are an avid learner and extremely resourceful in finding solutions. You are a problem solver – NOT a problem reporter.

Since we will be paying you to work, this section is extremely important.
